Craft, Culture & Contemporary Expression by Sakalchand Patel University at Ahmedabad Fashion Week 2025 Season 2

At Ahmedabad Fashion Week 2025, Nootan Institute of Design & Communication, Visnagar presented a vibrant showcase celebrating India’s rich artistic heritage through contemporary fashion. As a leading institute in fashion and communication education, Nootan continues to nurture young designers who seamlessly blend tradition with modern design sensibilities. The presentation unfolded in three distinctive sequences. Mandna reimagined traditional folk art through delicate hand-painted motifs on modern silhouettes, creating wearable canvases of heritage and elegance. Sanskriti Swag captured the vibrant spirit of Gujarat, drawing inspiration from Kutch embroidery, mirror work, and festive folk traditions, translated into contemporary forms with cultural pride. Pichwai paid homage to the sacred Rajasthani art form, featuring symbolic motifs of Shrinathji, lotus, cow, and peacock, intricately rendered on graceful gowns.
Together, the collections reflected a harmonious dialogue between craftsmanship, culture, and modern fashion—showcasing the creative vision and cultural sensitivity of Nootan Institute’s emerging designers at Ahmedabad Fashion Week 2025.
