At Ahmedabad Fashion Week 2025, Swarrnim Startup & Innovation University (SSIU) presented a striking showcase that reflected its core philosophy of innovation, entrepreneurship, and purpose-driven design. Established in 2017 and located in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, SSIU is India’s first university dedicated to embedding startup culture and real-world problem-solving within higher education across disciplines including Design, Architecture, Engineering, Management, and Liberal Arts.

Titled Golden Velvet Reign, the collection unfolded as a bold narrative where royalty meets rebellion. Drawing inspiration from imperial grandeur and contemporary confidence, the ensembles explored the powerful contrast of gold and black velvet—symbolizing heritage, authority, and unapologetic sophistication. Rich textures of plush velvet, structured leather, and luminous golden accents came together to create silhouettes that balanced strength with grace.
