How to Become a Runway Model at AFW 2026

Note:
Ahmedabad Fashion Week reserves the right to modify dates, schedule, or format of the event if required. All fees paid are non-refundable and non-transferable even if you do not get selected.

Dress Code for Auditions:

• The dress Code for the audition will be plain white T- shirt and Blue Jeans
• Footwear –White heels (4 inches) for Females / White Sneakers for Males
• Clothes, Makeup & accessories of the contestant should be done from their end.
• The organizers will provide music for audition.

Selection Criteria

Selection in both audition rounds will be based on:

• Ramp walk and posture
• Confidence and personality
• Physical attributes (height, body proportion, and fitness)
• Ability to learn choreography quickly
• Overall presentation and stage presence

Participants must be available in Ahmedabad from 5th June to 7th June 2026.

Note: The decision of the Jury Panel will be final and binding.

Training Session Details

Training sessions will be conducted by a renowned professional fashion choreographer from Mumbai – Shie Lobo with experience in major fashion events.

Once participation in the training session is confirmed, models cannot withdraw from the training program.

• Training will be conducted for 2 days in Gurukul Area, Ahmedabad
• Dates: 29th & 30th May 2026
• Training is mandatory for Round 1 selected models
• Final auditions will take place after completion of the training session
• Any model who has not completed the entire training due to any reason will not be allowed to participate in the Audition Round 2

During the training period, models must arrange their own travel, accommodation, and meals.

Ahmedabad Fashion Week 2026 – Event Guidelines

Models selected in Round 2 will earn the opportunity to walk the ramp at Ahmedabad Fashion Week 2026.

• The main event will be held on 6th & 7th June 2026.
• Garment trials & fittings will take place on 5th June 2026.
• Selected models must keep their schedules free on the trial and event dates.
• Selected models may be required to walk in a minimum of 1 and up to 8 designer shows in a day, with multiple garment changes.
• Practice sessions and show rehearsals may take place one day prior to the show or on the same day, depending on the show schedule.
• Garment designs will be a creative expression of the designers, models will have to adhere to the decisions of the designers and they cannot refuse to cooperate.
• Once participation is confirmed, models cannot withdraw from the event under any circumstances.

Model Conduct & Disqualification

The organizers reserve the right to terminate or disqualify a model at any stage due to reasons including but not limited to:

• Misbehaviour or unprofessional conduct
• Lack of punctuality or absence from rehearsals
• Failure to follow choreography or designer instructions
• Non-adherence to dress code or styling guidelines
• Damage to garments or event property
• Any action that may harm the reputation of Ahmedabad Fashion Week or associated brands

In such cases, the opportunity may be offered to waitlisted models.

Arrangements by Ahmedabad Fashion Week Organisers

The following will be provided by the organizers:

• Designer garments for the runway shows
• Professional hair and makeup services
• Meals on trial day and show days

Arrangements to be Made by the selected Model

Models are responsible for arranging the following:

• Footwear for Females:
  • White stilettos (minimum 4-inch heel)
  • Black stilettos (minimum 4-inch heel)
  • Beige or transparent stilettos (minimum 4-inch heel)
  • Black boots (minimum 4-inch heel)
  • White sneakers
• Footwear for Males:
  • White sneakers
  • Black sneakers
  • Black Formal Shoes
  • Brown Formal Shoes
  • Traditional Jutis
• Appropriate innerwear
• Personal grooming as instructed by the stylist
• Transportation for auditions, training sessions, trials, and show days
• Accommodation arrangements if required

Photography & Media Rights

By participating in Ahmedabad Fashion Week 2026, models grant permission to the organisers to use photographs, videos, and recordings captured during auditions, training sessions, rehearsals, and the event for promotional, marketing, advertising, and media purposes, without any additional compensation.

Remuneration Policy

Participation in Ahmedabad Fashion Week 2026 is a platform opportunity, and the organizers will not provide any monetary compensation to audition winner models for their modelling services.
